A free painless scan of your liver to see any fat or scarring with instant results

We have partnered with the Royal Surrey liver health check programme to support our residents in Slough.

If we have sent you a text message about the service, we think you may benefit from having a scan.

It picks up issues with the liver in the early stages before symptoms develop. Caught early, 90% of liver disease is preventable.

Who can have the scan:

Patients aged 35 to 70 years old with one or more of the following:

  • Previous or known blood borne virus (Hepatitis B or C)
  • Regularly drink more than 14 units of alcohol per week

Patients aged 50 to 70 years old with one or more of the following:

  • Diabetes
  • Overweight or obese (BMI >25)
  • Previous or known Fatty Liver Disease (also known as MAFLD)

The liver scan service will visit and park at Weekes Drive Surgery once a month.

It doesn’t offer a walk-in service.

Please don’t eat or drink anything in the two hours before your scan appointment. It’s OK to drink water at this time.
