We’ve got lots of information and help for the NHS App, but put simply, you can:

- Get help to manage your health
- Send and read messages from your GP and other NHS services.

This app is designed to support those who have:

Healthier Together

The NHS Healthier Together resources and app provide trusted, easy-to-understand information to help parents when their child is unwell.
Created by parents and NHS professionals, the app offers:
- clear guidance on common childhood illnesses
- warning signs to watch for
- when and where to seek help
- how to keep children comfortable

Sleepio

Sleep is vital for both mental and physical health, helping us think clearly, manage stress, and reduce the risk of serious illness.

Frimley Health and Care recognises the importance of good sleep and offers access to support and treatment options for those who struggle to sleep.
These include local Talking Therapies services and Sleepio, an evidence-based, clinically proven online programme that helps improve insomnia – available free to our residents.

The NHS Quit Smoking app is a 28-day program designed to help you stop smoking for good. It provides practical support, motivation, and expert advice to guide you through your quit journey.
By staying smoke-free for 28 days, you’re five times more likely to quit permanently. The app offers weekly guidance, small achievable tasks, and encouragement—supporting you every step of the way and celebrating your progress.

Food Scanner

The Food Scanner app helps you and your family make healthier food and drink choices by showing what’s really inside your favourite products. Simply scan a barcode to see the amount of sugar, salt, and saturated fat—displayed in easy-to-understand visuals like sugar cubes or salt sachets.
The latest version introduces new features and augmented reality (AR) to bring the information to life, with 3D alternatives for devices that don’t support AR. The app uses data from Brand Bank and Food Switch and is continually updated with more products. It’s part of the Change4Life initiative to help families stay healthy and informed.

NHS Weight Loss Plan

The NHS Weight Loss Plan app helps you build healthier eating habits and a more active lifestyle through a 12-week guided programme. It offers weekly tips, actions, and advice to support balanced eating and steady weight loss.
You can use the daily food diary to track meals and calories, monitor your weight each week, and calculate your BMI to set a healthy goal. StepUp App with local challenge groups

StepUp is a social pedometer app that makes fitness fun by letting you track your steps, compete with friends, and stay active together—no matter what phone or wearable you use.

Couch to 5K

The NHS Couch to 5K app, created in partnership with the BBC, helps beginners start their running journey and build healthier habits. It offers guidance and motivation from expert and celebrity trainers, supporting users step by step toward completing a 5K.
Designed to boost physical and mental wellbeing, the app has already helped millions improve their fitness and confidence.
